The Two Wolves – Author Unknown

A Cherokee elder is teaching his grandson about life.

“A fight is going on inside me” he says to the boy, “and inside every other person too.”

“It is a terrible fight between two wolves.

One is Fear – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Love – he is joy, peace, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.

The grandson thought for a minute and asked, “Which wolf wins?”
The grandfather simply replied, “The one you feed the most.”
